Salah Issues Regret to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah expressed regret to the group of players after the uproar from his recent interview.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a vital match after making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.
Moving Forward
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. “I get that there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
Their results have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not designed to cause disruption.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a good place,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, playing well and on a positive run.”
